We don't let animals wander around the guest house - nor should we, as our guests may have allergies to cat or dog hair and so on. However, behind the scenes lives a long-haired black-and-white moggy called Tibby. This week he's been enjoying his new-found favourite spot - curled up in a corner of the greenhouse. Being near the sea there's often a brisk breeze blowing along Cauldon Avenue, but tucked up snug and sound inside the glasshouse this pampered pet knows how to while away a sunny afternoon, venturing indoors occasionally only to see if his food bowl's been topped up. And if not, he certainly lets us know!
The Blues weekend, meanwhile, is in full swing in Swanage, with the music venues (and guest houses including us) packed and strains of various bands floating up from the town, occasionally pierced by a whistle from the steam trains. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside. Though I somehow doubt that particular song will be performed during the festival.
